印度新郎在婚禮上背錯(cuò)乘法表 新娘當(dāng)場(chǎng)拒婚Indian bride shuts down wedding after groom fails her math test

在今天的印度，包辦婚姻依然十分普遍。近日印度一位由父母包辦婚姻的新娘在婚禮上發(fā)現(xiàn)新郎居然連乘法口訣都不會(huì)背，當(dāng)場(chǎng)轉(zhuǎn)身離去。

An Indian bride canceled her wedding after her groom recited the multiplication table of two incorrectly.

一位印度新娘因?yàn)樾吕杀冲e(cuò)乘法表，當(dāng)場(chǎng)決定取消婚禮。

 

A bride and groom who wish to remain unidentified were supposed to have the wedding for their arranged marriage on May 1 in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.

這對(duì)不愿意透露姓名的新人本來(lái)定于5月1日在印度北方邦舉行婚禮。這是一樁包辦婚姻。

 

Skeptical of her future husband's educational background, the bride decided to test his knowledge during the ceremony.

新娘懷疑她未來(lái)丈夫的學(xué)歷，于是決定在婚禮上考一考他。

 

When he failed to recite the multiplication table of two, the bride left, "saying that she could not marry someone who did not know basic math," reported INQUIRER.net.

當(dāng)他背不出乘法口訣時(shí)，新娘轉(zhuǎn)身離開(kāi)了。據(jù)菲律賓每日問(wèn)訊者報(bào)網(wǎng)站報(bào)道，“新娘說(shuō)她不能嫁給一個(gè)連數(shù)學(xué)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)都不懂的男人。”

 

The bride's cousin stated that the groom's family did not inform them of his lack of education, adding that the bride was "brave" for leaving the wedding venue.

新娘的表妹稱，男方家庭沒(méi)有告知新郎教育程度低的事實(shí)，并補(bǔ)充道，新娘離開(kāi)婚禮現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的做法“很勇敢”。

 

"He may not have even gone to school. The groom's family had cheated us," she said to the Tribune India. "But my brave sister walked out without fearing social taboo."

她告訴《印度論壇報(bào)》說(shuō)：“他可能都沒(méi)上過(guò)學(xué)。新郎的家人騙了我們。但是勇敢的姐姐不懼怕社會(huì)禁忌，就這樣走出了禮堂。”

 

The two families came to a compromise which included returning all gifts and jewelry to the appropriate parties.

兩家人已經(jīng)達(dá)成了和解，雙方同意退還所有的禮物和珠寶。
